Custom Pool Builder in Peoria, AZ

Peoria stretches from established neighborhoods in the south to newer communities in the north near Lake Pleasant, and Overflow Pool Construction & Repair works across all of it. We design and build new pools and spas, remodel older pools, and repair pumps, filters, heaters and automation.

Our north Phoenix base keeps Peoria within easy reach, and every project is designed by owner Dane Palmero, who has been in the pool industry since 1978.

Overflow Pools handles the whole life of a pool in Peoria, from the first design to remodels and repairs years later. Our full list of pool services includes:

• New custom pools and spas, designed in 3-D before construction, including vanishing edges, sun shelves and spools
• Pool remodeling: plaster, pebble and mini pebble finishes, waterline tile, coping and decking such as travertine, flagstone and Kool Deck
• Water and fire features: sheer descents, natural rock waterfalls, bubblers and fire bowls
• Equipment and repair: variable speed pumps, filters, heaters and heat pumps, LED lighting, valves and automation
• Outdoor living: BBQs and outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and fire pits

Northern Peoria communities such as Vistancia and the areas around Lake Pleasant include many newer homes on hillside or desert lots, often with HOA design guidelines. In southern Peoria, many homes already have a pool that is due for new plaster or pebble, tile, coping or more efficient equipment.

For a new build, we design around the slope, the views and the community’s guidelines. For a remodel, we look at the whole pool, from the interior finish and tile line to the decking and equipment pad, so the upgrade is done once and done right.

Overflow Pool Construction & Repair is owned by Dane Palmero, who began in the pool industry in 1978 as an underwater pool repair specialist and has designed and built pools since 1982. He personally designs every project and is the author of the Ultimate Pool Buyers Guide.

Our work has earned a World’s Greatest Pools award, and we were chosen to build the custom big cat pools for the Phoenix Zoo, a project you can read about in No Kitty Pool: A Builder Tackles the Big Cats.

Can you update an older Peoria pool instead of replacing it?

Usually, yes. Most older pools can be renewed with a new interior finish, tile and coping, decking and modern equipment. We assess the shell and plumbing first so you know what is worth keeping.

Do I need a permit to build a pool in Peoria?

Yes. New pools in Peoria require a building permit and inspections through the City of Peoria, along with a compliant pool safety barrier before the pool is filled. We plan for those requirements as part of the design.

How long does it take to build a pool in Peoria?

It depends on the design, the site and the permitting and inspection schedule. We give you a realistic timeline with your proposal, before any work starts.

Do you repair pool equipment in Peoria?

Yes. We repair and replace pumps, motors, filters, heaters and heat pumps, lights, valves and automation systems such as AquaLink, IntelliTouch and EasyTouch, and we find and fix leaks.

Do you offer budget-friendly pools in Peoria?

Yes, through our sister company Simply Fun Pools, which offers a range of fixed-plan pools built by the same team. For custom designs and water features, Overflow Pools handles the project.
